Why it's strict
The Hôtel André is a home, not a wing of a modern museum. The doors between the Painting Room and the Grand Salon are narrow, the double-revolution staircase is climbed in single file, and the private apartments consist of just a few rooms. Photography
Photography without flash is permitted in the permanent collections. Flash is prohibited, and conditions may vary in the temporary exhibition depending on the lenders. Ask the room attendant rather than trying : they are happy to help, and they know the museum best.
The tea room is located inside but can be accessed without a ticket. If you’re encumbered, take a table at Le Nélie before your visit and leave the rest in the locker afterward.
